Lucy Mcrae

"Australian skincare brand Aēsop commissioned McRae to conceive Morphē; a short film that playfully presages a shared collision between science and beauty. At the edge of this world, a painstaking Scientist employs an assortment of liquids and weird contraptions to minister arcane beauty treatments to a sleeping Muse"

FINAL MAJOR PROJECT

These are the garments I have created for my final major project at college. I have based my project around the seaside and beach and looked a lot into print and pattern. I printed the material myself using the screen printing process and focused on both the print and the actual design and construction of my garments. These will be shown in my college fashion show next week as well as a small exhibition of this project which features three canvases I have printed using screen printing.

My finished shoes!

Here you are, as promised (though a lot later than planned) are my final photos for my exhibition of me modelling my shoes! Couldn’t be happier with how these (both the shoes and the photos) have turned out, and I’m really excited for the exhibition now! :D

Only wish is that my shoes were actually comfortable to wear and walk in… lets just say, I have a really bruised foot from this shoot, and numerous cuts on my fingers from making them!

Screen printing my Red or Dead fabric. I lost some definition because of the nature of my fabric, but I think overall it looks alright!
